Why Volunteer? |
|
|
Make a difference in a child’s life! Our volunteers come from schools and businesses around the Chicago area. Over 150 women dedicate their time weekly to share their talents with Metro’s inner city girls. While most volunteers serve as tutors and mentors, others help as fine arts teachers, career speakers and field trip chaperones. With the generosity of our volunteers from companies such as Walgreen Co., JP Morgan Chase, University of Chicago, Merrill Lynch, and the University of Illinois at Chicago our students are challenged to form both good study habits and good relationships.
Attention College students and professionals!
Metro provides the perfect opportunities to donate your time and talents to help at-risk youth to achieve academic and personal growth in an environment of friendship and support. As a volunteer, you provide one-on-one attention and serve as a successful adult role model by helping a student with schoolwork and goal-setting.
Why become a volunteer
You’re needed. You make a difference in the life of an inner-city student in a five-star program!
You’re rewarded. You learn relationship and people skills and will love seeing your student smile!
